Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim
133 words
A method for the in vitro diagnosis of a LAS or of AIDS, characterized, - in that one brings into contact a serum or another biological medium obtained from a patient who is subject to said diagnosis, with a purified p25 protein, which exhibits a molecular weight of about 25,000, immunologically distinct from the p19 and p24 proteins of HTLV1, obtained from an extract of one of the retroviruses deposited at the C.N.C.M. under numbers I-232, I-240 or I-241 or of one of their mutants or variants, or with a proteic fraction of said purified p25 protein and which is liable of providing an immunological reaction with antibodies directed against the purified p25 protein - in that one detects the possible immunological reaction between said protein and said serum or other biological medium.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
151 words
A kit for the in vitro detection of a LAS or of AIDS in serums originating from patients, characterized in that it comprises: - a purified p25 protein exhibiting a molecular weight of about 25,000, immunologically distinct from the p19 and p24 proteins of HTLV1, obtained from the extract of one of the retroviruses deposited at the C.N.C.M. under numbers I-232, I-240 and I-241 or of one of their mutants or variants, or a proteic fraction of said purified p25 protein and capable of giving rise to an immunological reaction with antibodies directed against said purified p25 protein, said protein or proteic fraction being labelled, - human anti-immunoglobulins, - an extract of lymphocytes obtained from a healthy person, - buffers and, possibly, substrates for the visualization of the labelling, - means for detecting the labelled conjugate resulting from the immunological reaction between the labelled protein or proteic fraction and the serums.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
149 words
A kit for the dosage of AIDS or of a LAS, characterized in that it comprises: - a purified p25 protein exhibiting a molecular weight of about 25,000, immunologically distinct from the p19 and p24 proteins of HTLV1, obtained from an extract of one of the retroviruses deposited at the C.N.C.M. under numbers I-232, I-240 and I-241 or from one of their mutants or variants, or with a proteic fraction of said purified p25 protein and liable of giving rise to an immunological reaction with antibodies directed against said purified p25 protein, said protein or proteic fraction being labelled, - human anti-immunoglobulins, - a lymphocytes extract obtained from said healthy person, - buffers and, possibly, substrates for the visualization of the labelling - means for dosing the labelled conjugate resulting from the immunological reaction between the labelled protein or proteic fraction and the biological medium subjected to the dosage.
