Abstract
Abstract the handset (80) has a loop (81) adjacent the earpiece (88), on the inside, through which the thumb of the user can fit. The holder (82) for the handset (80) mounted in the vehicle has a catch (85) for secure retention of the handset (80) until a release button is depressed, for releasing the catch (85). The thumb loop (81) allows the handset (80) to be suspended from the user's thumb when the handset (80) is required to perform a different function, e.g. for steering or operating switches.
