Apparatus for manufacturing thermoplastic hollow bodies by dip blow moulding
Abstract
Abstract The apparatus comprises at least one blowing mandrel (1, 1'), which can be moved from a dipping station (T), having at least one polymer chamber (6) as well as at least one two-part injection mould for moulding a neck part of the hollow body to be produced, into a blowing station (B), having at least one likewise two-part blow mould, and comprises a closing apparatus (16) for the blow mould and the injection mould, which in each case have a movable mould half (3, 3' and 4, 4' respectively). The object is to design an apparatus of this type in such a way that only a single common drive is required for the opening and closing of the injection mould and the blow mould as well as for movable the blowing mandrel (1, 1'). For this purpose, the movable injection-mould and blow-mould halves (3, 3' and 4, 4' respectively) together with the blowing mandrel (1, 1') are designed to move over the closing apparatus (16) into the closed and open position or an intermediate position for the free swivelling of the blowing mandrel (1, 1'). <IMAGE>
