Process for the synthesis of butene-1 by dimerisation of ethylene
Abstract
The invention describes a process for the synthesis of butene-1 by dimerization of ethylene in the presence of a catalyst constituted by the interaction, in a hydrocarbon medium, on the one hand of a trialkylaluminum, on the other hand in proportions close to the stoichiometry between an alkyl titanate and an ether. The activity and the selectivity are better than when the ether is added to a mixture already formed of alkyl titanate and trialkylaluminium.
