Abstract

A high-resolution electro-optical reception system with a mosaic detector designed as a charge-coupled component is to be created. In order to cover the spaces between the detector elements of the mosaic detector, the visual field image can be shifted periodically along a closed path. The image information thus obtained in succession is stored and a high-resolution electronic image for digital image processing is obtained therefrom. Various constructions of the image shifting means are described.
