Process for the preparation of propylene-ethylene block copolymers
Abstract
Abstract Translated from German Rahmen ist das Herstellen von Propylen-Ethylen-Block-Copolymerisaten, wobei man in Anwesenheit von Wasserstoff mittels Gasphasen-Polymerisation zunächst (I) in einer ersten Polymerisationszone Propylen homopolymerisiert und (II) in einer zweiten Polymerisationszone ein Gemisch aus propylen und Ethylen dem in (I) erhaltenen Propylen-Homopolymerisat hinzupolymerisiert. The framework is the production of propylene-ethylene block copolymers, in the presence of hydrogen by means of gas-phase polymerization, first (I) homopolymerizing propylene in a first polymerization zone and (II) in a second polymerization zone a mixture of propylene and ethylene in ( I) polymerized obtained propylene homopolymer. It is characteristic that (a) in (I) is carried out at a certain total pressure, a certain temperature and a certain ratio of propylene partial pressure: hydrogen partial pressure (P / H-I). (b) in (II) at a certain total pressure. a certain temperature, a certain ratio of propylene partial pressure: ethylene partial pressure and a certain ratio of propylene partial pressure: hydrogen partial pressure (P / H-II), (c) the total pressure in (I) becomes higher than in (II ), (d) the amounts of polymer produced in (I) and (II) have a special relationship to each other and (e) the ratio P / HI: P / H-II has a specific value. The result is impact-resistant polymers with a low tendency to crack.
