Abstract

Process for the production of contact-optical moldings from thermoplastically processable, transparent materials by shaping under pressure and heating, punching or cutting optically flawless blanks from the weight of the moldings to be produced from a film of uniform thickness from the thermoplastic material in question and cutting them between two stamps according to the geometries the molded body to be produced is shaped in a mold at certain temperatures above the glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic material, but still below its melt flow temperature.
