Double casing turbine with at least one valve for the horizontal supply of steam
Abstract
The valve (15) intended for direct connection to the outer casing (20) of a two-casing steam turbine (14) has a diffuser (18) seated in the valve casing (17) which passes through the outer casing (20) into a connection piece (32) of the Inner housing (23) protrudes where it is sealingly connected to the inner housing (23). In a preferred embodiment, the diffuser (18) is seated with a cylindrical shoulder (29) in a corresponding bore of the valve housing (17), the valve housing (17) being made of cast ferrite and the diffuser (18) made of austenitic steel, the thermal expansion coefficient of which is greater than that of the valve body material. The diffuser (18), which sits loosely in the cold state, expands more when the turbine is heated than the valve housing (17), so that the diffuser is then stuck in the valve housing.
