Abstract
Abstract Hereunder an electromagnetically-controlled valve suitable for controlling an additional air flow in a feed equipment for an internal combustion engine, is described: it includes an air inlet from a room exposed to the atmospheric pressure and air outlet orifices to a room with lower pressure, with a first by-pass channel for the above mentioned inlet and a second one forthe air coming out of the orifices; the invention is characterized bythe factthat it includes an obturator to vary the passage section of the above mentioned orifices underthe action of an electromagnet and a contrast spring.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
118 words
1 - Electromagnetically-controlled valve, suitable for controlling an additional air flow in a feed equipment of an internal combustion engine. This includes: at least an air inlet coming from a part of an intake passage placed at the top of a throttle valve and air outlets towards a part of the intake passage placed at the bottom of the throttle valve and a by-pass channel between the above mentioned orifices and the parts of the intake passage. The latter is characterized by the fact that it includes an obturator suitable to vary the passage section of the orifices under the action of an electromagnet and a contrast spring; the said electromagnet receives current from an electrical control unit.

2 - Valve according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the above mentioned obturator is joint to the mobile keeper of the electromagnet; the said obturator is made of non-magnetic material and can slide inside a tubular element in which there are the above mentioned inlet and the orifices; the thickness of the non-magnetic obturator is deviced to control the magnetic adhesive force of the above mentioned keeper on the above mentioned tubular element.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
51 words
3 - Valve. according to the previous claims characterized by the fact that the above mentioned obturator has a great number of orifices to connect the said inlet with a cavity inside the above mentioned valve in order to transmit the pressure existing in the inlet inside the above mentioned cavity.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
62 words
4 - Valve according to the claims 1-2, characterized by the fact that the above mentioned obturator has an upper part in which there is a frustum of cone-shaped cavity to form a sharp edge on its top. The above mentioned obturator opens the outlet orifices with the sharp edge in order to laminate the air flow from the above mentioned outlets.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
79 words
5 - Valve according to at least one of the previous claims, characterized by the fact that the above mentioned obturator can slide from a first to a second position of stroke end under the thrust of the spring and the action of the magnetic field; the first position is indicated by an elastic ring inserted in a groove of a pin joined to the magnetic core; the second one consist of a shoulder of the magnetic winding container.
