Encapsulation of radioactive wastes
Abstract
The coating of radioactive waste consists of the preparation of saturated waste in the storage water and then mixing it with a resin and a monomer, thus forming an emulsion to which a hydraulic binder is added to make a concrete. This process makes it possible to coat the waste in a stable manner, with the blocking of certain radiation and without danger of seeing the container leak.
