Abstract
Abstract There is disclosed a method for preparing a ZSM-12 crystalline zeolite wherein the organic template used in the synthesis has the formula: wherein n = 4, 5, 6 or 10. The template, designated herein DABCO-C n -diquat cation, is obtained from a dihalide salt of the cation or from a hydroxide thereof. Also disclosed is the as-synthesized form of ZSM-1 prepared by using the DABCO-C n -diquat template as well as catalyst compositions containing the ZSM-12 so synthesized. Such catalyst compositions are useful for catalytically converting an organic charge.
