Abstract

Abstract A band-form, electrical heat-generating apparatus or heating tape has two parallel electrodes (1, 1') and resistance el- elements (2) therebetween over the entire length of the electrode and connected to both the electrodes in parallel, and in- vidual feeding points (13, 14) on each of the respective electrodes (1, 1'); the feeding point (13) to one of the electrodes (1) and that (14) to another of the electrodes (1') are located at diagonal opposite positions relative to the parallelogram formed by the two electrodes (1, 1') and the outermost two of the resistance elements that form a heat-generating unit. A plurality of such heat-generating unit may be connected in series to form a heat-generating apparatus. The electrical heat-generating apparatus may further be provided with a circuit for detecting or protecting voltage abnormalities. With the above apparatus, a more uniform heat generation is possible compared with conventional apparatus.
