Device for reading the result of a drum counter
Abstract
In the reading device according to the invention, a fixed, insulating sensor disk 2 is arranged parallel to each digit roll 1. The sensor disk 2 has a number of capacitors 3 corresponding to the number of digits, which are arranged according to the number division. Each capacitor is formed by two mutually insulated metal coatings on the sensor disk 2, one of which is connected to an impulse transmitter 6 and the other to an evaluation circuit 4. Each digit roll has an electrically conductive area 1c with a maximum width of one digit division. If this electrically conductive area 1c is above a capacitor 3 of the sensor disk 2, its capacitance is significantly increased. From the amplitude of the pulses transmitted via the capacitors 3, the counter reading of the digit roller 1 can therefore be determined without contact and without force.
