Abstract

Abstract A facsimile machine which transmits and receives picture data comprises a first memory means (27a) for storing one or more pages of picture data, a second memory means (27b,27c) for storing external device numbers and time data, and automatic transmission control means (28a) which compares time data stored in the second memory means with a time-count signal generated from a time-count means, and when the time data coincides with the time-count signal, it supplies an external device number stored in the second means and uses an automatic dialing means (25a) to connect a channel (25) to the corresponding external device, and then transmits and receives picture data to and from the external device (Fig. 3), thereby enabling the user of the facsimile machine to set and alter destinations, repeat addresses, and equivalent addresses, which is useful for transmitting data automatically at desired times.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 155 words
A facsimile apparatus for transmitting/ receiving image data, comprising network control means for controlling a connection with a line; automatic dialling means arranged in said network control means; first memory means for storing image data corresponding to one or a plurality of pages; means for inputting a transmission/reception destination external apparatus number and time data of the image data; second memory means for storing the external apparatus number and the time data; clock means for=generating a time signal; and automatic sending control means for comparing the time data stored in said second memory means with a time signal from said clock means, and upon detecting a coincidence supplying-the external apparatus number stored in said second memory means to said network control means to cause said automatic dialling means thereof to connect the line with an external apparatus corresponding to said external apparatus number, so that the image data can be transmitted/received with said external apparatus.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 155 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 125 words
A facsimile apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said second memory means stores polling reception originating terminal external apparatus number data and polling reception time data; and said automatic sending control means compares the polling reception time data stored in said second memory means with the time signal from said clock means, upon detecting the coincidence supplies the polling reception originating terminal external apparatus number data stored in said second memory means to said network control means to cause said automatic dialling means thereof to connect the line with a polling reception originating terminal external apparatus corresponding to the polling reception originating terminal external apparatus number data, and causes transmission control means to receive the image data from said polling reception originating terminal external apparatus.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 60 words
A facsimile apparatus according to claim 2,' wherein a plurality of sets of the polling reception originating terminal apparatus number data and the polling reception time data set; and said automatic polling reception control means performs a control operation sequentially for the plurality of sets of the polling reception originating terminal apparatus number data and the polling reception time data.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 179 words
A facsimile apparatus according to claim 1, wherein-said second memory means stores repeating apparatus number data, multi-address calling destination external apparatus number data, and send time data; said automatic sending control means compares the send time data stored in said second memory means with the time signal from said clock means, upon detecting the coincidence supplies the repeating apparatus number data stored in said second memory means to said network control means to cause said automatic dialling means thereof to connect the line with a repeating apparatus corresponding to said repeating apparatus number data, and causes transmission control means to send the multi-address calling destination external number data stored in said second memory means and the image data from said first memory means to said repeating apparatus; and said repeating apparatus stores received data in first and second memory means thereof and thereafter transmits the image data stored in said first memory means thereof together with a destination stored in said second memory means thereof to a multi-address calling destination external apparatus said multi-address calling destination external apparatus data.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 68 words
A facsimile apparatus according to claim 4, wherein a plurality of sets of the repeating apparatus number data, the multi-address calling destination external apparatus number data, and the second time data are set; and said repeating/multi-address calling control means performs a control operation sequentially for the plurality of sets of the repeating apparatus number data, the multi-address calling destination external apparatus number data, and the send time data.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 108 words
A facsimile apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said second memory means stores destination external apparatus number data and destination send time data; and said automatic sending control means compares the send time data stored in said second memory means with the time signal from said clock device, upon detecting the coincidence supplies the destination external apparatus number data stored in said second memory means to said network control means to cause said automatic dialling means thereof to connect the line with a destination external apparatus corresponding to said destination external apparatus data, and causes transmission control means to transmit the image data to said destination external apparatus.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 54 words
A facsimile apparatus according to claim 6, wherein a plurality of sets of the destination external number data and the destination send time data are set; and said automatic sending control means performs a control operation sequentially for the plurality of sets of the destination external number data and the destination send time data.
