Il comporte un fond métallique (1) en matériau son conducteur de la chaleur sur lequel est rapporté par brasure dure un cadre métallique (2) supportant des connexions (5) par l'intermédiaire de traversées isolantes (6) du type perle de verre. Le coefficient de dilatation du cadre et du fond sont adaptés de telle manière que le fond du boîtier ne présente pas de défaut de planéïté après refroidissement.
