Variable-size rotary offset printing machine
Abstract
Abstract 1. Variable format rotary offset printing machine, comprising a frame carrying, at its upper part, an inking unit, a damping unit and at least one feeling cylinder, and a cassette carrying the superposed printing cylinders, i.e. an upper plate cylinder able to be urged under the feeling cylinder(s), an intermediary blanket cylinder and a lower pressure cylinder, these superposed cylinders being tangent the one to the other in the printing position, and means for horizontally displacing this cassette, characterized in that the shaft (4a, 5a, 6a) of each of the three vertically superimposed printing cylinders (4, 5, 6) journals, at each of its ends, in a slide member (16, 17, 18) mounted for vertically sliding between two vertical slides (12, 13) provided in an upright (14) of the cassette (11), the slide members (16, 17, 18) housed in a same upright of the cassette are vertically spaced the one with respect to the other through intermediary wedges (19, 23) of a height corresponding to the distance between the axes of the horizontal shafts, which distance depends of the printing format, the two lower sliding members (18) in which the shaft (6a) of the lower pressure cylinder (6) journals bearing respectively on the upper ends of rods of vertical jacks (24) carried by a height adjustable horizontal cross-bar (25).
