Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to an enlargeable and reducible canopy (14) comprising two opposite, vertical walls and a roof interconnecting said walls, in which both at least one vertical wall and the roof consist of plate-shaped elements pivotally interconnected by the respective shafts in concertina fashion and said at least one vertical wall is displaceable The invention has for its object to provide a reliable canopy (14) which is not sensitive to disturbances for long and short terms with the aid of simple, known structural means. Furthermore the invention has for its object to construct the canopy (14) in a manner such that no problems will be involved in sealing against moisture and wind. In accordance with the invention displaceable portals are arranged between the pairs of pivotally interconnected plates of the vertical walls and the roof and the plate-shaped elements adjoining said portals are pivotally connected with said portals.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 90 words
Enlargeable and reducable canopy comprising two opposite vertical walls and a roof connecting these walls, in which at least one vertical wall and the roof consist of plate-shaped elements hingedly connected with each other in the way of a concertina and that said at least one vertical wall is movable, characterized in that between the pairs of plate-shaped elements being hingedly connected with each other of the vertical walls and the roof movable portals are present, and that the plate-shaped elements adjoining said portals are hingedly connected with these portals.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 90 words
Enlargeable and reducable canopy comprising two opposite vertical walls and a roof connecting these walls, in which at least one vertical wall and the roof consist of plate-shaped elements hingedly connected with each other in the way of a concertina and that said at least one vertical wall is movable, characterized in that between the pairs of plate-shaped elements being hingedly connected with each other of the vertical walls and the roof movable portals are present, and that the plate-shaped elements adjoining said portals are hingedly connected with these portals.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
Canopy as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said portals are adapted to or provided with means for draining rain-water.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 59 words
Canopy as claimed in claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the plate-shaped elements adjoining each other, of the walls and of the roof form in every position of the canopy an angle of such a value that by exerting a force in the direction of movement of the portals they perform a hinge- movement relative to each other.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 41 words
Canopy as claimed in anyone of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least in the closed position, i.e. the situation corresponding with the maximum dimensions of the canopy, the roof cooperates sealingly with a corresponding plate-shaped element of the wall.
