Laminates from metal plates and thermoplastic material
Abstract
Abstract Laminates made from metal sheets and a thermoplastic connecting material are characterised in that the thermoplastic connecting material contains one or more propylene copolymers containing at least 60% by weight of propylene and relatively small amounts of ethylene and an alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid. The connecting material may also contain mixtures of said copolymers and relatively small amounts of a polyolefin, so that from 0.8 to 10% by weight of alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid and from 2 to 25% by weight of ethylene are present. The laminates may additionally contain a thermoplastic inner layer containing polypropylene or a propylene-ethylene copolymer containing a maximum of 30% by weight of ethylene, or a mixture of such materials containing a maximum of 15% by weight of an elastomer.
