In diesem Isolierkörper sind im Raster Bohrungen angebracht, die teilweise mit Elektroden gefüllt sind, so daß zwischen Mikroverdrahtungsoberfläche und Elektrodenende ein Hohlraum entsteht. Sind zwei Rasterpunkte durch eine Leiterbahn verbunden, so tritt beim Anlegen einer hinreichend hohen Spannung an den Elektroden je eine Gasentladung ein, die einen Stromtransport und damit die Prüfung auf elektrische Durchgängigkeit ermöglichen.
