Circuit for adapting two picture processing systems having different resolutions
Abstract
With the circuit arrangement according to the invention, binary, serial image signals, for example from remote copiers, are adapted in such a way that only a minimal loss of information occurs. The image signals of both resolutions are divided into the same number of blocks. The n bits of a block of the input image signal pass through a serial-parallel converter (1) and address a data word with m bits in a memory (5). These m bits pass through a parallel Senell converter (6), which produces the image signal on the output side. Through the free choice of n and m different resolutions can be adapted to each other.
