Abstract
Abstract A multilayer analytical element comprising a water-impermeable, light-transmissive support, a reagent layer containing at least peroxidase, and a porous spreading layer, which are superposed in this order, in which at least one layer other than said support contains 0.1 meq/m 2 to 1 eqJm 2 of a compound comprising a cation capable of forming in combination with F - ion a sparingly water-soluble salt having solubility of not more than 0.2 g. in 100 g. of water at 25°C.
