Abstract

Abstract Devices for marking a surveyed terrain point in the ground generally consist of boundary stones, demarkation poles or similar objects buried or driven into the ground, which are often secured by further markings let deeper into the ground. In order to facilitate the location of such marking devices by means of detectors known per se, it is proposed to provide a member (1) which can be sunk into the ground and which is provided with one or more permanent magnets (14 to 17) depending on the depth of sinking and/or the importance of the terrain point. <IMAGE>
