Starter for an internal-combustion engine
Abstract
A starting device for internal combustion engines is proposed, in which a countershaft (27, 25, 20) is connected between a drive shaft (4) of a starting motor (1) and a transmission shaft (8), on which a single-track gear (34, 37) with a Starting pinion (39) is arranged movably. The countershaft (27, 25, 20) is provided with a damping (18) which is used as a resilient receptacle of the ring gear (20) of the countershaft in an intermediate bearing (10). Due to a certain mobility of the ring gear (20) relative to the parts that transmit the torque of the drive motor (1) to the ring gear (46) of the internal combustion engine to be rotated, compression and decompression shocks generated by the internal combustion engine are damped to such an extent that they do not damage the torque when turning Non-positive parts (single-track gear and countershaft) between the ring gear (46) and drive shaft (4) of the starter can cause.
