Preparation of 1,4-diketopyrrolo-(3,4-c)-pyrroles

Abstract Translated from German Verfahren zur Herstellung von 1,4-Diketopyrrolo-[3,4-c]--pyrrolen der Formel worin Ri und R 2 die in Anspruch 1 angegebene Bedeutung haben, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1 Mol der Verbindung der Formel worin M, R 1 , Z, X und m die in Anspruch 1 angegebene Bedeutung haben, mit 1 Mol einer Verbindung der Formel YCH 2 COOZ und mit 1 Mol eines Nitrils der Formel R 1 -CN oder R 2 -CN, worin Y, Z, R 1 und R 2 die in Anspruch 1 angegebene Bedeutung haben, in einem organischen Lösungsmittel bei erhöhter Temperatur umsetzt und die Verbindung der Formel isoliert. Die erfindungsgemäss hergestellten Verbindungen eignen sich zum Pigmentieren von hochmolekularem organischem Material. The compounds produced according to the invention are suitable for pigmenting high molecular weight organic material.
