Abstract

Abstract The apparatus comprises a revolving cage (4) provided with two plates (20,21) effective to be rotated about the central axis whereof and to receive and hold a product vessel to be processed (33), and two electric motors (13,17) effective to rotate, individually and with a different transmission ratio, the cage driving pulley (10), the operation of either one or the other motor depending on the height of the product vessel (33) with respect to a threshold height.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 139 words
I- A mixing apparatus, comprising a cage effective to be rotated about the transversal axis whereof, provided with two plates effective to be rotated about the central axis thereof and to receive and hold the product vessel, said plates including means for causing said plates to be moved nearer with respect to one another or away from one another, said cage being rotated through a driven pulley which is rigid therewith, while said plates are rotated through a belt passing on a fixed pulley and slidable on transmission pulleys, one of the latter being rigid with the shaft of said vessel rotating plate, characterized in that it comprises two motors(13,17) effective-to rotate, individually and with a different transmission ratio, said driven pulley (10),the operation of either one or the other of said motors (13,17)depending on the height of said product vessel(33),with respect to a determined threshold height.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 62 words
2- A mixing apparatus according to claim I, characterized in that on the shafts of said motors there are respectively mounted a given diameter pulley (16) and two different- diameter further pulleys (12,14)of which that of greater diameter is controlled by a belt (15) on said individual pulley(16) and that of smaller diameter being coupled,by a further belt (11),to the driven pulley(10)
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 64 words
3- A mixing apparatus, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the alternative energizing of either one or the other motor (13 and 17) is controlled by means of a photocell system, effective to drive an electronic relay and the impinging light beam whereof, having a horizontal axis,is either shut off or not by said product vessel (33),as clamped between said rotating plates (20 and 21).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 57 words
4- A mixing apparatus, according to one or more of the prec ding claims, characterized in that it comprises a cage (4),provided with a central bracket (5),a top plate (6) and a bottom plate (7) coupled to one another at their respective end portions by two column members (8),said bracket (5) comprising a shaft (9),coupled to said driven pulley.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 77 words
5- A mixing apparatus, according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that, above and under said bracket (5),there are provided two movable plates (18 and 19) effective to slide along said column members (8) and each whereof bears a rotating or revolving plate (20 and 21),of which one is idly mounted on the respective plate (19),whereas the other has the shaft (22) thereof supported by bearings as provided in the corresponding plates (7 and 19).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 71 words
6- A mixing apparatus, according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said movable plate (18 and 19) are caused to be moved towards one another or away from one another by two threaded rods (24),each whereof is located between a pair of said column members (8) and having opposite pitch threads at the upper and lower portions of said bracket (5),arranged at a center position of said cage.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 54 words
7- A mixing apparatus, according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said threaded rods (24) are rotated by means of a gear wheel (25),provided with a driving arm (26),said gear wheel meshing with gear pairs (27) engaging with corresponding sprockets (28) keyed at one respective end of said threaded rods (28).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 29 words
8- A mixing apparatus, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises two plates (20 and 21) effective to approach one another and to be separated from one another.
