Abstract

A resorbable flat material for sealing and healing wounds consists essentially of a glycoprotein matrix with a content of substances which cause or promote blood coagulation, including fibrinogen and thrombin. The flat material is dry and multilayered, at least one partial layer being thrombin-free and containing the fibrinogen in its glycoprotein matrix largely homogeneously distributed, and at least one further partial layer being fibrinogen-free and containing the thrombin in its glycoprotein matrix largely homogeneously distributed. Non-crosslinked fibrin, fibrin cleavage products, collagen, globulin, myoglobulin, casein and / or albumin are particularly suitable as glycoprotein. Preferably, at least one of the partial layers, in particular one or both outer layer contains (s) in the dry state present fibroblast cells and / or the growth of fibroblasts and their ingrowth promoting agents, in particular Chondroitinsul - fat. For the production, a thrombin-free, predominantly aqueous solution and / or suspension of the glycoprotein is mixed with fibrinogen and processed to form a flat material sub-layer, and at least one further sub-layer is applied over the entire surface, which in turn consists of a further, fibrinogen-free and thrombin-containing solution and / or Suspension of the same or another glycoprotein has been obtained. In particular, a solution and / or suspension of a composition is applied to an inert surface and deep-frozen there, and a solution and / or suspension of another composition is applied and deep-frozen to the ice layer surface obtained while still frozen, and finally all the partial layers are lyophilized together.
