Protective excess current circuit-breaking switch
Abstract
An overcurrent protection switch with an actuating element for manual switching on and off, an articulated element connected to it, and a contact arm that can be locked before the main contact is closed by means of a restraint stop is characterized in order to achieve better switching behavior with a compact design and uncomplicated handling of the switch, in that the contact arm (9) during the closing and closing movement between its contact end (49) and its hinge end (50) rests on the retaining stop (28) and, released from the contact lever (9), it yields when the actuating element is moved in the closing position in the closing direction (51), as well as the retaining stop (28) is part of a retaining pawl (23) which is essentially longitudinally displaceable in the closing direction (51) and which can be locked behind a housing projection in the retaining position and can be disengaged in the released position by actuating the actuating element.
