Abstract Said electrodip coatings are composed of binders based on polyaddition, polycondensation or polymerisation products which carry basic nitrogen groups and which are water-thinnable as a result of adding acids, optionally contain pigments and/or fillers in standard binder/pigment ratios and also, optionally, other auxiliaries and water, and which contain an addition of elemental sulphur and/or one or more organic N-containing thio compounds having groupings of the formulae <IMAGE> Said electrodip coatings are used for the cathodic electrodip coating of metal parts.
