Abstract Interleukin 2 of human cell origin, which has a specific activity of more than 2 x 10<5> units/mg protein and is free from other human lymphokines and monokines is a useful immunoprophylactic and immunotherapeutic agent per se or in combination with other chemotherapeutic agents and/or other immunotherapeutic agents.
