Abstract

The present invention relates to a new, advantageous method for producing unilamellar liposomes in the aqueous phase by transferring a suitable lipid component, e.g. Phosphatidic acid, in the ionic form, by subjecting the lipid dispersion to a change in pH and then neutralizing it. The formation of the unilamellar liposomes occurs spontaneously, i.e. without additional external energy supply. The liposomes obtainable according to the process can be used therapeutically as carriers of active substances of various kinds.
