Abstract

The invention relates to a development device with two rotating charging devices 1 and 2, which are designed as brushes and whose cores 22, 23 are connected to a first voltage source 9. The first charging device 1 is supplied with one-component developer 13 from a developer supply device 20 by means of a metering roller 21. The charging devices are surrounded by a trough 5 which is connected to the voltage source 9. Arranged between the charging devices is a grid 18 with an integrated scraper 4, over which the bristle tips snap, as a result of which the developer particles on the bristles are sprayed onto a developing roller 3 in a triboelectrically charged manner. A scraper 7 works in a similar manner with the second charging device 2. The stripper 7 and the trough 5 are connected to the voltage source 9. The developing roller 3 is connected to a second voltage source 10 and developer particles are attracted to the peripheral surface 14 by the latent charge image 14 on the recording medium 11 in order to obtain a developed charge image 12. The tub 5 is connected to supports 15, 16, 17. An elastic wiper 19 is attached to a cross section 6 and wipes the developer 13 from the developing roller 3. An upper part 8 covers the developing device.
