Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 126 words
A connecting device which connects an endoscope (1) and a television camera (6) in a state aligned to a first optical axis and is capable of connecting a steal camera (29) to it, comprising. an eyepiece section (28) having a second optical axis crossing said first optical axis, and mounting means for removably mounting the steal camera on said eyepiece section in a state aligned to said second optical axis, characterised by comprising first and second light splitting members (21), (22) having different light splitting ratios, supporting means (20) for movably supporting said first and second light splitting members, and driving means for selectively bringing said first and second light splitting members to a position corresponding to the intersection between said first and second optical axes.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 126 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 107 words
The connecting device according to claim 1, wherein said supporting means includes a cylindrical body (11) connected at one end to the television camera (6) and connected at the other end to the endoscope (1), a support (15, 37) disposed in and secured to said cylindrical body, said first and second light splitting members (21), (22) being supported in said support for movement relative thereto, and a light guide (25) secured to said body and extending sidewise from said body, said eyepiece section (28) being provided on the end of said light guide opposite said body, said light guide (28) being coaxial with said second optical axis.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 34 words
The connecting device according to claim 2, wherein said support has a mounting groove (16, 38), said first and second light splitting members (21), (22) being disposed in said mounting groove for movement therealong.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 80 words
The connecting device according to claim 3, wherein said mounting groove is a straight groove (16), said first and second light splitting members (21), (22) being disposed in said straight mounting groove for movement therealong, and wherein said driving means includes an operating rod (23) having one end projection from the outer periphery of said cylindrical body (11) and the other end connected to said first and second light splitting members, said operating rod being morable relative to said body.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 96 words
The connecting device according to claim 3, wherein said mounting groove is an arcular groove (38), and wherein said driving means includes a coupling member (40) securing said first and second light splitting members (21), (22) to each other so that said first and second light splitting members are moved in unison with each other along said arcular groove, and an operating rod (23) having one end projecting from the outer periphery of said cylindrical body (11) and the other end connected to said coupling member, said operating rod being pivotally mounted on said cylindrical body.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 40 words
The connecting device according to claim 2, wherein said driving means includes an automatic driving mechanism (51) for automatically bringing said second light splitting member (22) to a position corresponding to the intersection between said first and second optical axes.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 78 words
The connecting device according to claim 6, which further comprises means (50) for holding said first light splitting member at the position corresponding to the intersection between said first and second optical axes, said automatic driving mechanism (51) being capable of bringing said second light splitting member in place of said first light splitting member to the position corresponding to the intersection between said first and second optical axes against the holding force provided by said holding means.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 54 words
The connecting device according to claim 7, wherein said automatic driving mechanism (51) includes a wire (54) connected at one end to said light splitting members (21), (22) and led to said eyepiece section, said wire being pulled to move said light splitting members when the steal camera is mounted on said eyepiece section.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 67 words
The connecting device according to any one of preceding claims, wherein said first light splitting member (21) leads 50 % of incident light to the television camera and leads the remaining 50 % of light to said eyepiece section, and said second light splitting member (22) leads 30 % of incident light to the television camera and the remaining 70 % of light to said eyepiece section.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 46 words
The connecting device according to claim 2, wherein said driving means (51) includes a switch (60, 62) colsed when the steal camera is mounted on said eyepiece section and electric means (65) electrically driven to move said light splitting members with the closure of said switch.
