Device for plasmapheresis with a semi-permeable membrane apparatus
Abstract
Apparatus for plasmapheresis, which can be connected by a simple needle (1) to a donor and which makes it possible to separate the blood from the donor, by means of a membrane apparatus (2), into a first fraction (20) consisting of plasma, and into a second fraction (17) comprising in particular the figured elements of the blood which is reinjected (1) to the donor. This apparatus is characterized in particular by the fact of comprising, for the circulation of blood, two pumps (7 and 18) arranged on each side of the upstream compartment (3) of the device (2) with membrane and pressure sensors (14 and 19) to which said pumps are controlled. Method in which the blood coming from the donor undergoes a first separation, in contact with the membrane, during the collection phase and in which the blood undergoes a second separation in contact with the membrane, during the return phase.
