Device for stabilizing the optical power of a semiconductor laser
Abstract
The useful optical power of a semiconductor laser (C) exits through its front face (f1). The control power leaves the rear face (f2) and enters an optical guide (G), formed by the assembly of two parts (22, 23). The guided light falls on the control photodetector (5). The detected current controls the electrical control power (4) of the laser (C). Application to the stabilization of a laser for reading an optical disc.
