Containers with integral lifting loops or lifting slings secured thereon, and method for the manufacture of such containers

Abstract

Abstract This container (1) comprises a gripping ring (6b), in which the lifting loops (5) of the container are passed and which forms an integral part of the latter, having been installed during production of the bag; the ring may be made from metal, from plastic, or, alternatively, from webbing or rope formed into a loop by means of seams or the like. The previously manufactured or produced ring can be passed through the lifting slings or loops (5) of the container, whereafter production of the latter is completed; the said ring may also be formed on the already produced container, by passing a strip of rope or webbing into the lifting slings or loops and by forming the strip into a loop by means of seams or the like. The gripping ring facilitates handling of the container and prevents the risk of damage to it. <IMAGE>
