Abstract

The crossbeams (13) of a base mattress are connected to the support frame (1) by means of an elastic connecting piece which can be changed in spring strength. So that the preload of the suspension and the spring travel are increased so that they are sufficient for all occurring spring weights, each connector consists of a lower and an upper telescopic sleeve (3,9). Both sleeves are connected to each other so that the upper sleeve is limited in its upward movement by the setting pressure of the compression spring. The adjustment is made by an adjusting nut in the lower sleeve.
