Apparatus for grouping objects fed in a row and method of operating the apparatus
Abstract
In this device, the objects (G) are fed in a feed channel (10) by means of vibration as a row to a receiving channel (11). The vibrations convey the objects in loose contact with one another and against a pick-up slide (13). A separating sword (12) can thus pierce between two adjacent objects at the transfer point (15) without pressure in order to divide the group on the receiving channel (11) from the row on the feed channel (10). The vibration of the feed trough (10) can be reduced or slowed down if the separating sword (12) is lowered in order to additionally reduce the pressure between objects that follow one another. The separation point can thus be easily found using the separation sword (12). No pressure is exerted on the objects at any point of this device, so that even fragile objects and those with an irregular shape can be divided into groups in this way.
