Abstract 1. Fastening device with a retained nut, of the type constituted by a nut (1, 11) slidingly mounted on a support (3, 13) which can be attached in the orifice (7) of a panel (P) or the like, such as for example a metal sheet, to allow the nut (1, 11) to be retained on the panel (P), characterized in that the said support (3, 13) has at least two legs (4, 14) extending right through the nut body (1, 11) by passing through orifices, slots or the like (2, 12) provided in the said nut body (1, 11) substantially along its axis X, X'.
