Abstract 1. Method for the production of phenolic resin bonded nonwovens, especially as shaped parts, to which a powdered novolak, with hexamethylenetetramine added, is brought into the fibermaterial first, then the web is formed from this and the web is finally subjected to heat treatment, especially in a moulding press, characterized that before heat treatment a substance, splitting off ammonia by heat, is added to the surface of the web.
