Projector, particularly a vehicle headlamp
Abstract
Abstract 1. Headlamp, in particular for motor vehicles, wherein - a rectangular reflector (101) has a paraboloid horizontal sector (102) and, with reference to the reflector axis (109) in the direction of use, an upper and lower sector (103, 104), - the three sectors (102, 103, 104) join plane surfaces (108) radial to the axis (109), - the focal points of the three sectors (102, 103, 104) are approximately identical, and - the focal lengths of the upper and lower sectors (103, 104) are identical but smaller than the focal length of the paraboloid horizontal sector (102), characterised in that - the upper and lower sectors (103, 104) are part of an encasing, the vertical section of which is a parabola and the horizontal section of which is an ellipse or a hyperbola, - the focal length of the parabola of the vertical section is smaller than the focal length of the paraboloid horizontal sector (102), and - curves of intersection which are produced by the intersection of planes perpendicular to the axis (109) with the upper and lower sectors are ellipse segments, the semi-axes of which are perpendicular to the axis (109), one semi-axis lying in the horizontal meridional intersecting plane (105).
