Abstract Translated from German Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polyarylensulfiden durch Umsetzung gegebenenfalls substituierter Dihalogenbenzole, im Gemisch mit Polyhalogenaromaten mit 3 bis 4 Halogensubstituenten und Alkalisulfiden in polaren Lösungsmitteln, wobei Alkalisulfite oder Erdalkalisulfite anwesend sind. Process for the preparation of polyarylene sulfides by reacting optionally substituted dihalobenzenes, in a mixture with polyhaloaromatic compounds with 3 to 4 halogen substituents and alkali sulfides in polar solvents, alkali sulfites or alkaline earth sulfites being present.
