Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim
64 words
In the insertion of a column into a tab stop positioned multi-column table, the column insertion being executable on an interactive word processing system, method for inhibiting interleaving or cave-in among entries from dissimilar columns or for inibiting migration of text entries, characterized in that it comprises the step of automatically inserting a tab stop in each null entry of column of the table.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
69 words
Method according to claim 1, characterized in that when the column to be inserted is a first-text column and the table has right-adjacent column text entries on the same row line as null entries of the first-text column, it comprises the step of automatically inserting a tab stop in each null entry position of the first-text column as the first-text column is entered into the table within the system.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
81 words
Method according to claim 1, characterized in that when the column to be inserted is a first-text column and the table has at least one left-adjacent column null entry on selected row lines counterpart to the text entries of the first column, it comprises the step of: automatically inserting a tab-stop in each null-entry position on each row line of the table column left adjacent to the first-text column as each first-text column is inserted into the table within the system.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
71 words
Method according to claim 1, characterized in that when the column to be inserted is a first-text column and at least one of the lenghts of its right-adjacent columns exceeds that of the first-text column, it comprises the step of: automatically inserting a tab-stop in each null-entry position of the first-text column at least up to the excess length as the first-text column is inserted into the table within the system.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
75 words
Method according to claim 1, characterized in that when the column to be inserted is a first-text column and at least one of the length of its left-adjacent columns is less than that of the first-text column, it comprises the step of: automatically inserting a tab-stop into each null-entry position on each row line of a table column left-adjacent to the first-text column as the first-text column is inserted into the table within the system.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
75 words
Method according to claim 1, characterized in that during column block operations in the interactive word processing system, the operator cursors the insertion point within a display table, to copy a column of the table and when there is on the same table row null entries in columns left adjacent the text entry, it comprises the step of automatically inserting a tab stop in each null-entry left-adjacent each text column entry in the same row.
