Pigments from nickel complexes of azines
Abstract
Abstract 1:1 Nickel complexes of azines of the formula I or of a tautomeric form <IMAGE> where R1 is hydrogen, cyano or carbamoyl and R2 is hydrogen, alkyl or a group of the formula II <IMAGE> where n is zero or one, R3 and R4 are independently hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or -O- alkyl, and R5 is a group of the formula II where n is one, or a group of the formula III <IMAGE> where R6 and R7 are independently hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, nitro, trifluoromethyl, R8O-, R8OCO-, R8CONH-, R9NHCO- or R9NHSO2-, where R8 and R9 are each alkyl or unsubstituted or halogen-, alkyl- or alkyl-O-monosubstituted phenyl, and R9 is additionally hydrogen. These complexes are suitable for use as high-grade pigments for pigmenting high molecular weight organic material. They are especially notable for high light, migration and weathering fastness.
