Abstract

Abstract This fast coupling consists of a coupling body and a plug body of electrically non-conductive material with replaceable inserts for the transfer of electricity, water and gas connections. The bodies (13, 3, 21, 26) of the plug connections are fitted with spring-loaded valves (4, 14, 28) which close to produce a seal in the inactivated state. The inserts for electricity transfer (3) are fitted with contacts which are mounted such that a reliable passage of electricity is effected on insertion of the plug pin (13). On the ends of the plug connectors (13, 21, 3, 26) there are threads onto which can be screwed the adaptors (17, 23, 9, 31) required for the respective connections. The retention of the parts is effected by a body (33) in which a spring-operated retention sleeve (35) is fitted such that a sphere (34) engages in the slot of a locking pin such that the body (33) is held in its position. On insertion of the coupling plug, the retaining pin (41) presses against the retention sleeve (35) until the sphere (34) latches into the slot of the retaining pin (41) and the locking pin becomes free. However, the retention can also be effected by a locking nut by means of which both bodies are held together. In order to prevent the hose package being kinked at the connections, the plug is provided with an elastic bar which is inserted in the hose package. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
