Electrically driven display device using a thick layer nonlinear element
Abstract
The invention relates to a display device which uses a varistor (2) as a switching element to control the orientation of the molecules making up a layer of liquid crystal (1). The object of the invention is to arrange the connections to the elementary cells on an insulating substrate (4) and to form on connections varistor pads (2) ensuring a threshold control of said cells. The invention applies to the viewing of images transmitted in the form of a video signal, for television and viewing devices, by remote transmission.
