Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 79 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, characterized in that it comprises, within a receiving seat (1) defined in the rear cuff (2) of a ski boot, settable elastic means (3) connected to an engagement element (3b) protruding out of said receiving seat (1), said engagement element being adapted to engage, with said rear cuff (2) in the closed position, with a retaining element (20) provided rearwardly on the shell (21) of said ski boot.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 79 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, characterized in that it comprises, within a receiving seat (1) defined in the rear cuff (2) of a ski boot, settable elastic means (3) connected to an engagement element (3b) protruding out of said receiving seat (1), said engagement element being adapted to engage, with said rear cuff (2) in the closed position, with a retaining element (20) provided rearwardly on the shell (21) of said ski boot.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 56 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, according to Claim 1, characterized in that said engagement element (3b) is defined by the interconnecting portion (3b) of the arms (3a,3b) of a substantially U-like link element (3) accommodated inside said receiving seat (1) and having coil springs (4) arranged at the arms thereof.
Claim 4
Independent Claim 55 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that said coil springs (4) act between a reinforcement plate (5) provided at the inside bottom of said receiving seat (1) and a setting plate (6) slidably supported on said arms (3a,3b) of said link element (3).
Claim 5
Independent Claim 61 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said setting plate (6) has at a middle portion thereof a threaded hole (7) wherein there engages a threaded shank (8) defined at the bottom end of an adjusting pin (9) protruding up from said receiving seat (1).
Claim 6
Independent Claim 74 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said adjusting pin (9) has at a middle portion thereof a flange formation (10) adapted to abut against.a stop plate (11) provided at the free top ends of said arms (3a) and secured thereon by locknuts (12) mounted on the free ends of said arms (3a) of said link element (3).
Claim 7
Independent Claim 33 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said retaining element (20) has a downwardly open hooked configuration.
Claim 8
Independent Claim 53 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is formed, at the bottom portion thereof, with a cutout adapted to allow said retaining element (20) therethrough as said rear cuff (2) is pivoted to open and close.
Claim 9
Independent Claim 58 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots, according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said retaining element (20) disengages from said engagement element (3b) as said rear cuff (2) is pivoted to open, and engages with said retaining element (3b) as said rear cuff (2) is pivoted to close.
Claim 10
Independent Claim 22 words
A device for adjusting the flex, particularly in rear-entry ski boots; according to the preceding claims, substantially as herein described and illustrated.
