Abstract

Abstract It is also intended to take into consideration the RF paths between mobile transmitting/receiving devices (M) and relay stations (R) in the delay compensation. For this purpose, the mobile transmitting/receiving set (M) transmits control and calibration signals which are compared in time in a comparison device (VER) in the base station (Z). On the basis of the result of the comparison , delay elements (LZA) are automatically adjusted in the transmitting paths (SZ). When the base station (Z) sets up a connection, the relay sations in the RS1 circuit are first keyed by the base station (Z) and control and calibration signals are sent over the transmitting paths (SZ), are recieved via the recieving paths (EZ) and are compared in time in the comparison device (VER), and the delay elements (LZA) are set. This setting can also be locked as basic setting of the delay sections (LZA). When dialling lines are used as modulation feeders, first the transmitting paths (SZ) and then the receiving paths (EZ) must be calibrated (FIG. 1). <IMAGE>
