Abstract

Abstract A screen (1) is provided for screening off aerosol particles in display screen environments, and includes an electrically conductive earthed frame (2) across which is stretched a fine mesh net (3) of an electrically non-conducting material and electrically conductive wires (4) in contact with the net (3) and extending between opposing portions of the frame (2), said screen neutralizing particle flows generated by electric fields between display screen and display reader.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 69 words
Method of screening aerosol particles in display screen environments characterized in that an electric field present in front of a display screen is substantially screened off by a screen (1, 6), having an electrically conductive earthed frame (2) carrying a fine mesh net (3) of an electrically non-conducting material and electrically conductive wires (4) or layer (7) in contact therewith, being mounted between the display' screen and a reader.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 69 words
Method of screening aerosol particles in display screen environments characterized in that an electric field present in front of a display screen is substantially screened off by a screen (1, 6), having an electrically conductive earthed frame (2) carrying a fine mesh net (3) of an electrically non-conducting material and electrically conductive wires (4) or layer (7) in contact therewith, being mounted between the display' screen and a reader.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 72 words
Apparatus for screening off aerosol particles in display screen environments, characterized by a screen (1, 6) intended for placing in front of a display screen, and including an electrically conductive frame (2) intended for earthing (grounding), there being stretched over said frame a fine mesh net (3) and electrically conductive wires (4) or a transparent electrically-conductive layer in contact with the net (3) and in electrically conductive communication with said frame C).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 72 words
Apparatus for screening off aerosol particles in display screen environments, characterized by a screen (1, 6) intended for placing in front of a display screen, and including an electrically conductive frame (2) intended for earthing (grounding), there being stretched over said frame a fine mesh net (3) and electrically conductive wires (4) or a transparent electrically-conductive layer in contact with the net (3) and in electrically conductive communication with said frame C).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
Apparatus as claimed in claim 2, characterized therein, that said fine mesh net (3) is a nylon net.
