Abstract
Abstract To write on highly sized paper or film recording media in ink jet printers, the ink used comprises a solvent which contains from 1 to 99% of cyclohexanol or cyclohexanol derivatives, ethylene glycol and a substantive dye; the ink has a swelling effect on size or plastics, permits rapid penetration of the dye into the cellulose fibre of the recording medium, is rapid-drying and gives a non-smudging print.
