Process for the preparation of stable aqueous dispersions and their use as binding agents in the preparation of coatings, especially in two-layer metallic-tone coating systems
Abstract
A method for producing stable dispersions of cellulose esters in water is characterized in that a mixture of a resin and / or of α, β-ethylenically unsaturated monomers is copolymerized in the presence of the dissolved cellulose esters, the cellulose ester content, based on the total solids content of the dispersion, is between 5 and 40%.
